Many fans of Strut Clothing are likely most familiar with them through their social media presence, but what you may not know is what (or who) is behind Strut Clothing via social media! Today, we sit down with Social Media Intern for Strut Clothing, Makenna, for an inside look at all that goes into managing Strut Clothing's social media presence and brand image.
Introduce yourself and give us the inside scoop of all things Makenna!
Makenna: Hi, I'm Makenna! I'm from Austin, Texas and currently studying to get my bachelor's degree in Marketing at Texas A&M in College Station. In addition to managing social media for Strut, I also work at a vintage store at school. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, painting, shopping, and working out. I also love traveling and hope to travel a bunch in the future. I love live music, and I have a cat!
What does your role involve here at Strut Clothing and what do you love most about your role?
Makenna: As a social media marketing intern at Strut, my role involves strategizing and scheduling the social media calendar, and finding new ways to build Strut's social media presence. On a daily basis, I will post content, interact with our followers and focus on building brand awareness. Working with Strut has truly been an incredible opportunity and experience. My favorite part is being able to use my creative skills to generate content and come up with new ideas.
What are you excited for for Strut in the coming year?
Makenna: In the upcoming year, I'm excited to see what Julia and Rozina have in store for the brand, especially the new season and collection launches. Watching Strut's growth has been so exciting and I’m looking forward to seeing its continued growth.
Where do you see yourself in the coming years after college?
Makenna: In the next 5-10 years, I see myself either working in the fashion marketing industry or starting my own business. I've always been passionate about fashion and I love the business marketing side of it, so I'm excited to see what the future holds for me after graduation.
