Catching Up with Strut Clothing for a Chaotic Month of February

Strut Clothing owners Julia & Rozina have been incredibly busy over the past month doing all kinds of fun things from traveling around the country, preparing the business for the upcoming spring and summer seasons, and working with some fabulous brands to further their own careers as well as making connections in the industry and becoming more familiar with all that the fashion industry has to offer. It isn't all business all the time for them though, they make sure to carve out ample time for themselves and for making the most out of their frequent travels. Here, Julia and Rozina have given us some candid further insight into what a crazy but exciting month February has been for them. Read on to catch up with the owners of Strut and all of the fun things they've had going on lately.

For Rozina, February started off with a trip to Atlanta visiting Julia and for doing some business at the Atlanta Apparel Mart for about a week or so. To be prepared and present herself in the best way possible, she made sure to put emphasis on eating healthy and getting a good amount of rest knowing the crazy month she had ahead and would be traveling for about 3 weeks or so. Mid February, Julia and Rozina flew from Atlanta to Las Vegas for the MAGIC wholesale apparel trade show. "Although back to back shows can drain me, my energy went to full swing once we landed in Vegas. As many of you know, the Super Bowl was happening there at the same time as MAGIC so it was a full-time party. Julia and I got to the hotel early, so naturally we had to kick off the week to our favorite bar, Kassi, before a crazy week at work. We were staying at the Virgin Hotels (one of our favorites) for two nights, then headed over to the Fountain Bleu for the second half of the week", says Rozina. Rozina recommend staying at either of these fantastic hotel options during your next trip to Vegas as they are both beautiful, in great locations, and have lots to offer restaurant and entertainment wise. "While in Vegas, we saw Marshmellow, had some amazing team dinners at some of the best restaurants, and experienced Korean Karaoke. Unfortunately, half of us felt under the weather by the end of the week, but that didn't stop the fun!", Rozina tells us.

From Vegas, Rozina went back home to Florida to catch up and recover, but also get ready for her next excursion of the month -- New York City for the next MAGIC trade show. Rozina tells us that "my mom traveled with me this time to go see her family in Long Island, and if you know me, you know my mom is my favorite human. Taveling with her is always such a fun time and keeps me entertained". New York City was a bit chilly this time for Rozina compared to her warm lifestyle in Florida, and she unfortunately was sick for much of the time that she was there. With that being said, you can imagine the cold weather was not helpful. "Let’s just say Julia and I spent the majority of our time in Korea Town discovering new soups to cure our sickness. Although we didn't get to go out or do much this week, we still had a successful market and got to reunite with some of our favorite buyers". On her last night in New York City, Rozina mentions she was able to Uber to Long Island to see her family where she was welcomed with an amazing traditional Italian dinner and congratulations on her recent engagement. She says "being gone while planning a wedding is definitely not easy, but I am so grateful for all the love and support I have by my side".

With the busy month Rozina's had, this left her thinking about all of the wonderful work experiences and opportunities she has as well as the people supporting her by her side. She shares that she tries her best to "enjoy every moment and not taking anything for granted". "Julia and I will sadly be ending our crazy travel work life in April, so I am trying to enjoy the little moments I get with my team. I have never had a work family like this, so it is truly all bittersweet while upsetting, but I have shared some of my favorite memories with these people and will forever be grateful for this time in my life". She also mentions that it has been challenging having been gone for so long considering how stressful planning a wedding can be. However, she says that she would do it all over again knowing she will soon look back at her crazy, fast-paced life, lots of frequent traveling, and always being on the go.

Now catching up with Julia, she shares with us her chaotic yet exciting last month, also filled with lots of traveling, work experiences, and fun events. Julia mentions how important working out is to her, and that in the beginning of the month she took some time to get back into a good, consistent workout morning routine. To do so, she found herself getting up around 4:30 or 5AM everyday, buying a ClassPass and frequenting SoulCycle and Solidcore. Julia tells us "I work a full time 9-5, a freelance job and Strut on the side so I love having a self care morning before my long days". Julia's travels take off in the middle of February, starting off with a fun yet busy trip to Las Vegas alongside Rozina. She unfortunately also got very sick but still managed to have a good time. Though parts of it were rough at times, she was able to make the most of her trip by almost seeing Taylor Swift, going clubbing and seeing Marshmello, and fun team dinners after working long days at Vegas wholesale apparel trade show, MAGIC. Next, Julia travels to New York City to work another MAGIC wholesale trade show. "I LOVE visiting New York City! I was still recovering from this terrible illness and was thankful that this was a chill, laid back show. I made sure to eat lots of soup throughout the week, made many trips to Whole Foods and took ample time to relax after working. I honestly did not do much fun things this trip", Julia candidly tells us.

Finally, for her 8th flight of the year so far, Julia flys from New York City to Los Angeles, where this trip started out with a 2 hour delay (on the plane), which was not fun. Julia is currently still in Los Angeles for a fun, relaxed little solo trip. "I work fully remote which gives me the flexibility to work from wherever. I am taking in as much of the beautiful, warm weather and nature in LA that I can. There have been lots of trips to the marina, walks on the beach, meeting up with friends here and shopping of course!", she shares.

After a long but exciting month of traveling and keeping busy, Julia wanted to make sure to take some much needed time for herself. She shares that she is "very grateful for all of the opportunities she has had lately", especially considering her work ethic and non-stop hustle. She has been feeling lots of gratitude for the settings she's bene in lately, and wanted to make sure to allow herself ample time to rest after an incredibly chaotic month. To do so, she is currently spending some time in Los Angeles, a place she has a new found love for, for some much needed rest.

As you can see, owners Julia & Rozina have had lots on their plate recently and are looking forward to a more laidback upcoming month of March. Be on the lookout for another recap of the month from the Julia and Rozina in March!
